Built in November of 70' this 1971 280sl is a two owner car that lived in California until 2009 when it was acquired by the previous owner and relocated to Detroit. Sold by Daniell Schmitt and company August 22,2009 with only 28,3000 miles which were believed to be correct. Only 1,815 miles have been put on since then. In 2004 this originally Tobacco Brown car was resprayed in 904G Midnight Blue. Garage kept throughout out its ownership, the paint is still stunning with no signs of wear. With no signs of any accidents the body is straight true and rust free. All the original markings are there including the style lines on the fenders. Finished in Parchment MB text with a blue hard top and matching tan soft top. Engine was replaced by Mercedes-Benz while under warranty and transmission is the original factory installed unit. Factory a/c that has been converted to 134a with no leaks and blowing cold.
