We have for sale an exquisite 1966 Austin-Healey BJ8 3000 MK III Phase two in a traditional Healey Ice Blue over Ivory. This excellent example of the British Roadster was purchased by the present owners in 1988 from Robert Maholik, the then technical expert for the Atlanta Austin Healey Club. This car is believed to be a three-owner car and the mileage was actual prior to restoration. In 2014 the car would start what was to be an extensive and lengthy restoration. The engine was rebuilt by Joe’s Foreign Automotive in Walnut Creek, California. After the mechanicals were sorted out, the car was cosmetically and mechanically restored by Treasure Coast Classics in Stuart, Florida (all documents, restoration photos and receipts are bound in the records folder and come with the car). The matching numbers drive train has been meticulously maintained, and is in excellent condition, giving this car the legendary performance Austin-Healeys were known for. The engine number indicates a correct high compression of 2.9 litre, with electric overdrive and a center shifter. The accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate shows that this car was dispatched September 23, 1965 to the selling dealer in Jacksonville Florida. Original equipment included:  Wire wheels, Overdrive, Heater, Adjustable steering column,  Laminated windscreen, and Road speed tyres. In the past several years, this car has been maintained by Torque Classic Cars, and is current with all its services. Evidence of this car’s condition is the “Best in Class” trophy that was given to this car in 2019 at The Wheels Across the Pond car show in Jupiter Florida. The award, restoration documents and an appraisal by Auto Appraisal Network from 2019, with a then value of $76,900, all come with the car.
