We have for sale an exquisite 1966 Austin-Healey BJ8 in traditional British Racing Green with Biscuit interior. This excellent example of the British Roadster was extensively restored in 2008-2009 with a total cost in excess of 134K dollars by The Larry Wilson Collection (All documents, restoration photos and receipts are bound in the records folder and come with the car). A matching numbers drivetrain has been meticulously maintained and is in excellent condition giving this car the legendary performance Austin-Healy's were known for. Engine numbers indicate a correct high compression 2.9 litre, overdrive with a center shift. Additionally, an upgraded aluminum head was fitted and a larger capacity aluminum radiator was installed. These two items enhanced the cars performance and reduced its overall weight by nearly 100lbs. The accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate shows that this car was dispatched December 30, 1965 to the selling dealer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Original equipment includes Wire wheels with octagonal wheel nuts, Overdrive, Heater, Adjustable steering column, Laminated windscreen, Black tonneau cover and Road speed tyres. The original color scheme of Black/Ivory White was changed during its restoration to a British Racing Green. A beautiful leather interior in Biscuit with green piping was installed to complement the dark green carpet, sourced from Heritage Upholstery in Blaine, Washington. Previous ownership has been documented in the records going back to 1975. Properly fitted Healeys are hard to come by and the demand for “Big Healeys” has never been greater. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own a piece of British Motoring History. Call 561-248-5657 or email [Email Dealer] for more details
